This tower was built in the 13th century and its construction was ordered by King Dinis. The tower was classified as a National Monument in 1956. From its viewpoint one can contemplate almost the entire city and its monuments and it is a great place for photography lovers. Serra da Estrela, Serra da Malcata (Portugal) and Serra de Béjar (Spain) are also visible.
