The construction of this set dates back to the 16th century and one can admire, in one of the buildings, a Manueline window with conopial arc and, in the lintel of one of the doors, the inscription “House to control the weight”. This was where the functions of measuring and controlling the weight of the goods that came to the city took place, so these decorative elements were a way to emphasize the importance of the building and to distinguish it from others. One can also highlight, on the opposite side of the street, a 17th century building with a typical and elegant porch.
