The parish of Ramela is flanked by two magnificent hillsides forming the ‘Vale da Teixeira’. Crossed by the Ribeira da Teixeira (stream), it is characterised by a unique microclimate that favours the growing of fruit, vegetables and olive oil, predominantly through traditional farming. The main tourist attractions are related to the natural landscape, the stream of Ribeira da Teixeira, churches, cruises, fountains, anthropomorphic graves, fountains and the typical olive oil mill.
