A museum that shows visitors and school students the manufacturing method of some local products such as sheep's cheese and rye bread, among other aspects related to agriculture and sheep-farming.
Afternoon
2 Maçainhas
Maçainhas is a very ancient village originally named Granja de Maçainhas. The name reveals the agricultural traditions of the parish and its settlement, which can be traced back to ancient times.

3Bronze Bells from Maçaínhas
In the villages of the county and on the slopes of Serra da Estrela there is no day when these bells are not heard.

4 Museu de Tecelagem dos Meios (Weaving Museum of Meios)
The Weaving Museum of the Means should be understood as a weaving workshop, since all the looms of the old factory are functional and producing. This equipment is exposed in an old "papa" blankets factory, founded in 1954.
5 Parque Urbano do Rio Diz (Rio Diz Urban Park)
Green space with a playground, a Dirt Bike Jumping track, pedestrian circuits, a senior park, medicalized lanes, multipurpose lawns, semi-covered sports zone, picnic park, dog park and cafeterias.

Visit to the historic city center
6 Sé da Guarda (Cathedral)
With the transfer of the headquarters of the diocese from Idanha-a-Velha to Guarda, in 1203, by influence of King Sancho I, it was necessary to promote the construction of a cathedral. Not much is known about the primitive building; however, it is, in fact, known that, in the second half of the 14th century the construction of a new cathedral outside the walled perimeter was considered. The construction of the present cathedral began in 1390 but, given the magnitude of the project, the works dragged and were only finished in the Manueline context.
7 Torre dos Ferreiros (Tower of the Blacksmiths)
The access to the top of the monument can be done by a panoramic elevator or stairs. The view from the viewpoint is amazing.
8 Museum of Guarda
Located in the heart of the city of Guarda, it is an emblematic building with a strong symbolic identity in the ordination of the urban surroundings, assuming, therefore, preponderance in a vast commercial, cultural and leisure area.
