Santos da Guarda - Festivities of the Saints

In addition to the traditional festivities promoted by the neighborhoods of the town (São Domingos, Guarda Gare, São Vicente, Torrão, Bairro do Pinheiro, Lameirinhas, Sequeira, Bonfim, Bairro da Caixa, Alfarazes, Bairro da Luz, Bairro Nª Srª. de Fátima, Galegos and Póvoa do Mileu) visitors can also enjoy the traditional chickpea soup, sardines and roast meat. There is also the Best Chickpea Soup and Doll of the Saints Contest, the annual São João (Saint John) Fair and the Popular Parades. It is held in June.
