The parish of Videmonte is a mountain village in the heart of the Serra da Estrela mountains, located about 18 kilometres from Guarda. It is mainly an agricultural village, where the most important pastoral activities include ‘bordaleira’ sheep and the ‘Serra da Estrela’ or mountain goats, potato fields, rye, chestnut and a large area of forest. Quinta da Taberna adjoins it.
